Collective Publishing Launch Their New Imprints - Purple Velvet & Crimson Pearl

Posted at 10:10PM Tuesday 18 Mar 2008

In order to establish a boundary between their erotic and contemporary titles, Collective Publishing have created two new imprints - Purple Velvet for their newest genre of contemporary fiction, together with Crimson Pearl, for their more steamier fiction titles.

Purple Velvet is being launched initially, to coincide with their first contemporary novel - Through The Mist, by Michael Keene (due to be published on 31st March 2008), which is the first of a trilogy.

Publisher Pauline Andersen says of the new imprints: "It was important to ensure a clear divide between our genre's and decided that creating these two imprints would ensure a branding for each type in order that they wouldn't all be muddled up under the Collective Publishing name which has been solely working with erotic fiction since it's emergence in 1999. Even in this day and age, people do find themselves embarrassed to be associated with erotica - this way we can ensure our authors of contemporary fiction can feel comfortable and at ease in the knowledge that they won't be 'tarnished' by our more steamy titles!"
