The Language Of Others By Clare Morrall

The Language Of Others By Clare Morrall
ISBN: 9780340896655

In her Booker-shortlisted debut, Astonishing Splashes of Colour, Clare Morrall explored the world of a woman with synaesthesia. Two books down the line, her central character, Jessica Fontaine, occupies a parallel mental existence to other people because she has Asperger's syndrome. It isn't the extreme form made familiar by Mark Haddon's The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time (she isn't even diagnosed until she's in her 40s), but it's significant enough to mark her out as different.
