How To Live Like An Italian
Posted at 8:16AM Wednesday 16 Apr 2008
Anova Books imprint Portico has acquired the English Language rights to a new book which offers a unique insight into the style, culture, politics and sex lives of the Italians. Written by respected Italian Corriere Della Sera and La Repubblica journalist Annalisa Coppolaro-Nowell, it sets out to explain our fascination with La Dolce Vita. Why are they healthy and slim in spite of their carb-rich food? Why do they dress up for every occasion, even if it's a trip to the market? Why do young Italians stay at home with mamma until well into their thirties? Taking a close look at all aspects of life in II Bel Paese - from fashion to food, from politics to parties, from music to marriage, from cars to cinema, from sex to sport, from style to lifestyle, this book is the essential companion for the curious and the committed Italophile. The deal was brokered by Commissioning editor Barbara Phelan and agent Lorella Belli, of LBLA. How to Live Like an Italian: A User's Guide to La Dolce Vita by Annalisa Coppolaro-Nowell will be published in Hardback in July 2008, RRP £12.99. About Portico In July 2007, Portico Books became the latest imprint in the Anova Books stable.
