Lagardere Confirms FY Media Earnings Guidance

French media group Lagardere SCA said it is sticking to existing guidance for growth in current EBIT from media for full-year 2008 as organic sales growth came in at 2.1 percent in the first quarter.

Hachette Book Group USA saw 'strong growth' and in the UK there was 'robust growth' in adult and children's fiction but sales in France fell on a weak market in literature and a contract loss,

The market growth prospects for Lagardere Publishing 'are good' the company said.
