Should Gok Wan Dictate Our Reading Habits?

Posted at 4:52PM Monday 18 Jan 2010

Are comedians, fashion commentators and maths boffins really the best qualified to tell us what to read? Or am I demonstrating the snobbery that things like the TV Book Club have set out to eliminate? Perhaps I have missed the point. Perhaps Wan, Brand et al. don’t actually choose the books, rather comment on titles that have been pre-chosen by the all-powerful triumvirate of Ross, the publishers and the retailers.
