John Wiley Posts Solid Third QuarterPosted at 7:22AM Friday 12 Mar 2010 Given a boost by favorable exchange rates, total revenue at John Wiley & Sons rose 14% in the third quarter ended January 31, rising to $427.4 million. Even excluding the impact of currency fluctuations, revenue would have been up 5%. Net income in the quarter jumped to $42.4 million from $33.4 million; earnings in fiscal 2010 include a $2.8 million restructuring charge related to a German business-to-business publication. Sales were up in all three operation segments in the quarter.
