Darren Nash Appointed Digital Publisher At Gollancz

Gollancz is delighted to announce both the creation of the role of Digital Publisher and the appointment of Darren Nash to fill this exciting new role.This position will spearhead the imprint's progress into its digital future. The SF and Fantasy communities have already shown advanced interest in new interactive technologies like social networking, twitter, blogging, enhanced products and ebooks, and Gollancz has embraced this with huge online campaigns such as TRUE BLOOD and Mia James' BY MIDNIGHT. This new role of Digital Publisher will expand and develop these efforts and be a catalyst in the creation of enhanced e-books, apps, backlist projects, online interaction and in the building of virtual communities for fans. Darren Nash is one of the most experienced and versatile publishers working in SF and Fantasy today. With a background in sales, marketing and editorial – most recently as Editorial Director at Orbit - as well as encyclopaedic knowledge of the genre, he has the perfect skills to combine the various activities into an effective whole.
