Bob McDevitt Joining Jenny Brown Associates

Jenny Brown Associates, Scotland's leading agency, is delighted to announce that Bob McDevitt is joining the company. Bob is one of Scotland's best-known publishers, most recently as Publisher of Hachette Scotland. He has also worked as a bookseller with Waterstones and Ottakar's.Bob will be representing commercial fiction, crime writing and non-fiction. Bob joins us as the agency is developing new opportunities in the North of England with the establishment of an office over the border. Stan (Mark Stanton) is now based in Northumberland where his wife has taken over independent book shop Forum Books. The agency already represents a number of writers in the region, including Paul Torday, Danielle Ramsay and, our latest signing, Robert Douglas. Bob is JBA's sixth associate, and he joins the established team of Lucy Juckes (representing writing for children and adults), Allan Guthrie (crime and noir), Kevin Pocklington (popular culture/sport and foreign rights), Stan (fiction and sports writing) and Jenny Brown (literary fiction and non-fiction).
