HarperCollins has become the latest major publisher to overhaul its sales organization in response to a changing marketplace. In the case of HC, the company is moving its pricing, promotional, market insight and sales analytics efforts into the sales department while streamlining its sales management team in a move that will result in the departure of several longtime employees.
