Rise Of The Celeb Tell-all

Posted at 6:57AM Thursday 11 Oct 2012

The air is thick with lurid celebrity revelations this week. Will Young was addicted to porn, Arnold Schwarzenegger did, in fact, voice his sneaking regard for Adolf Hitler. Cheryl Cole sent Simon Cowell a stinker of a text after being squeezed out of X Factor USA.

We have, in other words, arrived at the time of year when the publishing industry unleashes its annual lava-slide of celebrity autobiographies, in which the uber-famous come over all confessional and heartfelt (or at least they do to anyone willing to pony up the admission charge).
