France Demands £160million In Unpaid Tax From Amazon

Posted at 8:13PM Tuesday 13 Nov 2012

Internet giant Amazon has received a £159million demand from France for unpaid taxes, it emerged today.

It will strengthen calls by a senior British MP for consumers to boycott the company in protest at what she describes as 'immoral' tax avoidance.

The enormous figure includes fines and interest in relation to 'the allocation of income between foreign jurisdictions.'
