Audiobook Of The Year - Outtakes Released

Posted at 11:30AM Friday 07 Dec 2012

Hilarious outtakes from the recording of The Woman Who Went to Bed for a Year have been released by W.F.Howes. The novel by Sue Townsend and narrated by Caroline Quentin went on to win the audiobook of the year at the Specsavers National Book Awards on the 4th December 2012. These outtakes that have now been released provide an insight into the world of production.

Caroline Quentin broke into hysterics during her recording of The Woman Who Went to Bed for a Year. In this particular scene, we see a genuine readers' reaction from Caroline, staggered by the behaviour of Eva's husband Brian, and of a hapless member of staff at Marks and Spencer.
