Kindling Controversy

Posted at 11:53AM Sunday 03 Feb 2013

Because quite literally anybody can now publish virtually anything as an ebook, without the benefit of any form of writing ability and ignoring even the most rudimentary attempt at editing, there are hundreds, perhaps thousands, of ebooks out there which are borderline illiterate and in some cases completely illiterate, full of grammatical errors, spelling mistakes and faulty punctuation. The corollary to this is that there are very clearly also tens or hundreds of thousands of readers who either don't know what's wrong with what they're reading, or simply don't care.
