Mark Suchomel leaves IPG

Mark Suchomel, President of the Independent Publishers Group, based in Chicago, and second largest independent book distributor in the United States, has left the company with immediate effect.

Suchomel has led the distributor through a number of expansions but is perhaps best known for refusing to pay co-op to Amazon for e-book promotions, a move that resulted in Amazon removing the buy buttons from IPG's clients' e-books. The dispute was resolved after several weeks.
