The world of copyright law today is a controversial, complex and cacophonous one, and it changes every day. Transformations in the way content is produced, distributed and used have had the effect of making copyright, once the exclusive domain of attorneys and academics, front-page news. Being in the headlines has helped to fuel a much wider awareness of copyright than ever before, not least among the huge community of content creators and distributors, such as bloggers, with a keen and legitimate interest in how their creations can be used and re-used.
