Wirral Libraries At Risk Of Closure Under Council Plans

Many of Wirral's libraries appear at risk of closure unless community groups step forward to help.

Wirral council's ruling cabinet is this week being asked to approve plans to seek outside help from volunteers to maintain the library sites across the borough.

The move comes as the council struggles to make massive savings – £27m this year alone.
