Foyles hasn't disappeared in a puff of market forces' smoke under pressure from the likes of Amazon and its wretched algorithms, but instead reopened a couple of doors along in a renovated building, flooded with light, much larger than the old one, stuffed with thousands of beautiful books, and brimming with optimism for the future of book buying.
