Picador Acquires A Unique View Of London

Posted at 6:44AM Thursday 15 Oct 2009

Picador acquires a unique view of London in remarkable format – to be published for the 2012 Olympics

Paul Baggaley at Picador has acquired from Cathryn Summerhayes at William Morris Endeavor Entertainment London Unfurled by Italian architect and artist Matteo Pericoli. In a fascinating collaboration Picador will publish this stunning book – in the form of a concertina 24 foot drawing of the London skyline to the North and South of the river. Pericoli's legendary Manhattan Unfurled was published in 2001 and became both a bestseller and an iconic work. Picador will publish an even more ambitious project, his single page view of both sides of the 30 miles of the river from Hammersmith Bridge to the Thames Barrier. The book will appear for Christmas 2011, and will include a vision of east London in time for the 2012 Olympics.
