Group Calls For Amazon BoycottPosted at 6:53PM Wednesday 10 Mar 2010 A day after Amazon terminated its Associates program in Colorado, ProgressNow Colorado is calling on its 200,000 members to boycott the online retailer until the e-tailer reinstates the program. In a statement posted on its Web site and e-mailed to members Monday, the seven-year-old progressive advocacy organization, headquartered in Denver, described Amazon as "playing political football with Colorado Business Partners" by dropping them in response to the state legislature passing a law imposing sales tax on all online retailers that sell into the state.
